These cuffs are from fellow Parsons student Jake Stein’s own line BoyNYC.
I am absolutely in love with the silver dinosaur spine cuff. Although they are definitely designed with an edge and with attitude, they also have this boyish quality and charm to them, which is the point of the name I assume?
The bird claws remind me of the claw necklaces David&Martin got hype for some years back.

It is always amazing to see people who are still in school just burst with creativity and ambition, and unleash it and get shit done!

I asked Jake about his jewelry over FB chat.

On making cuff bracelets:
“I like cuff jewelry in particular because I am lazy with jewelry, especially in NYC not everyone has time to accessorize in the mornings. I think of cuffs like jewelry tattoos . I like to put something on and leave it on. I also like my metal heavy, it tones the arms;)”

These are my favorites from Mugler’s Pre-Summer. I do however feel that it was a very limited collection, with a very difficult palette for those shapes. All of garments would’ve been so much easier to appreciate in darker, more sober nuances. But if that was what they wanted to do, they would’ve done it, I guess.

Just spotted a t-shirt I have over at Jak & Jil. The first picture is Tommy Ton’s sighting of it, and the second one is mine.
