This is such an exciting and brave project. To recreate what censorship took away. Thank you for doing this.

Y’all know I’m a fan of Zana, and these two harnesses are intense.

I can see how some might say harnesses are a little played out, but Zana was a trailblazer for the fashion harnesses thing, and these are much more pieces of art than accessories regardless.

I saw this on an electrical box in Stockholm. I wonder if the people who made this are actually connected to ACT UP.

Zana Bayne is one hell of a talented person. Not only did she more or less single-handedly make the harness a fashionable item again, scene to mainstream, but she keeps on proving that each and every thing she makes is a piece of art by creating amazing installations and artworks.

She showed some of her creations alongside a series of artist collaborations this summer in the NYC gallery district, and this was one of my favorites.
