Happy New Year!
01:47 - 31/12/2012, Misc, Music

I’m celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight with the same crew as last year, which was by far my best NYE ever!

I am really excited. Last year we had an African themed night, and this year it is Eastern Europe / Russian themed. Of course we try to be as sensitive as possible to the cultures, although I must admit we aren’t doing the Russian cultural heritage justice as we are focusing on vodka and blinis rather than the high arts and literature.

The track above is Javelin’s track “1980 Moscow” from their album No Mas. It’ll be on repeat until I leave this afternoon.

Happy New Year and thank you all for being here the last year, it sure has been an interesting ride!

Can’t wait for 2013!

x

Sunday Music – Beyond Or Below by Complicated Universal Cum
05:55 - 09/12/2012, Music, Sunday Music

My dear friend Charlotte sent me this video the other day! Today truly needed some music!

This is a song from Frederik Valentin’s sophomore album named Hello Exit Harmony & Before F after C.

Molami Black on Black
01:34 - 03/12/2012, Christmas 2012, Fashion, Music, What I Want

The people behind Molami truly outdid themselves this time. Their products look great in black on black.

I already have these models in other colorways, and they are fucking awesome, so getting a new set would be nothing but greedy. But if you don’t have a pair and can afford them (150 € for the small ones and 300 € for the big ones) you should get them.

Sunday Music – Breathe Out by FAYE
12:00 - 21/10/2012, Music, Sunday Music

This track has been on repeat on my computer since Tuesday night.

FAYE is going to blow up pretty soon and I have not been this sure of something like this in a long while.
Breathe Out is such a ridiculously strong track, displaying both FAYE’s (Fanny Hamlin’s) range and pristine skill as a singer and the producer’s brilliance. The track breathes of melencholia as well as RnB classics, Aaliyah and maybe some Janet?
